COVID Relief
During the peak of Covid CCAP became part of Creative Dignity and together we taught our weavers and crafts people how to take good photos with their mobile phone, to create WhatsApp business accounts, and how to care for one’s self during covid. CCAP also provided rations to Angara, and Epurupalem near Chirala.
Loomkatha X Challapalli
Just before the Covid we started a collaboration and design intervention with Arushi of Loomkatha and Challapalli weavers society. It was great working with Arushi and her team. Her signature design still continues at Challapalli as one of the most sought after saree.
Health Camp
Several health camps have been conducted at Vizag and Vijayawada. We concentrate on eye care, orthopaedics, general health checkups, physiotherapy and healthy diet awareness. Vasantham
This is an annual event that is conducted at Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada during the months of November and December. This platform is to invite designers, weavers, and crafts people who work with their local artisans. Vasantham traveled to Nagpur too.

This district is yet to be explored for its weaves but as per records there are about 20societies mostly producing gada cloth and navar. Some societies of Payakaraopeta andNakkapalli and Yellmanchilli also weave sarees.
